Youth Arts Month: Mini-Mosaic Masterpiece

Wabash Community Event

In this hands-on activity, participants will start with a small wooden frame and create their own mosaic design using colorful glass and tile pieces. Choose your favorite arrangement, and then we’ll use heat to bond the pieces together. Once the adhesive is melted, you’ll have your very own framed mosaic art to take home! Classes at 9am and 11am. Registration required.

Kids will design their own vibrant castles, experimenting with bold colors, geometric shapes, and structure. Inspired by the artistic style of Paul Klee, this workshop encourages creativity and fun! Classes at 10am and 12pm. Registration required.

America’s Writers: Works, Quirks, and Jerks

Mark Canada, Chancellor of Indiana University Kokomo and former professor of American literature, will inform, inspire, and entertain with his light-hearted lecture. You’ll “read behind the lines” of some of America’s greatest writing to discover the sometimes amusing, always fascinating stories that accompany the writers and their works. Free admission, with reservations required due to limited seating.

A Grand Time

For the eighth time in just over 30 years, A Grand Time will feature nearly 100 pianists taking their turn on stage, with as many as 24 playing simultaneously on 12 grand pianos for a marvel of musical virtuosity. First performed at the Honeywell Center in 1990, A Grand Time is led by Philadelphia-based pianist/conductor Norma Meyer.

Could the next ‘master artist’ be among us today? We are thrilled to extend an invitation to exceptionally talented high school students to showcase their creativity in this exhibit. Join us in celebrating the boundless potential and artistic brilliance of the next generation. On display Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.

REO Survivor & Co.: Tribute to REO Speedwagon, Loverboy, and Survivor

REO Survivor & Co. brings classic REO Speedwagon and Loverboy hits mixed with Survivor anthems to the stage, performing songs like “Take It on the Run,” “Working for the Weekend,” and “Eye of the Tiger.” REO Survivor & Co. is a “band on fire” that will have you singing along throughout the heart-pumping rock experience.

Josh Baldwin: Made For More Tour

Josh Baldwin is a gold-certified singer-songwriter and worship leader whose music expresses who God has been for him in every season. Baldwin’s newest album, Made For More (2024), features songs he wrote from his heart for the local church and corporate worship. He recently celebrated his first-ever No. 1 single with “Made For More” at the top of the Mediabase Christian AC and Christian Audience Radio charts.

Construction, Conflict, and the Canal: “The Irish War” on the Wabash and Erie

Dr. Jay Perry, an Indiana native and historian specializing in policy and U.S. immigration history, will present a compelling lecture on the Irish canal worker wars in Wabash County. With degrees from the University of Evansville, Indiana University, and a doctorate from Bowling Green State University, Dr. Perry offers expert insights into this fascinating local history. Free admission, with reservations required due to limited seating.

America’s Got Talent 2024 Champion Richard Goodall

Richard Goodall, the “singing janitor” from Terre Haute, Indiana, won America’s hearts with his rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin’,” earning a Golden Buzzer from America’s Got Talent (AGT) judge Heidi Klum and later claiming the title of AGT 2024 Champion. From performing for students at the middle school where he works to singing at church and with a band, music has always been a constant. Goodall’s authenticity and joy for music shine through in his performances, including hits from Journey, Foreigner, Bruno Mars, Michael Bublé, and more.

Rachel Platten: The Set Me Free Tour

Rachel Platten is an Emmy Award-winning multi-platinum artist, singer, and songwriter known for her anthem, “Fight Song.” Platten’s songs focus on motherhood, guilt, mourning, expectations, rebirth, mental health, and the support systems we all need to guide us through life’s most earth-shaking curveballs. Her most recent album, I Am Rachel Platten, is an artistic journey through life’s peaks and valleys with songs like “I Know,” “Mercy,” and “Surrender.”

Join us for an Easter experience with live entertainment! Enjoy a delicious brunch buffet in Legacy Hall at the Honeywell Center. During brunch, you’ll enjoy live entertainment and an opportunity for the kids to make a seasonal craft. Of course, visits with the Easter Bunny will be the main attraction. Buy early – this sells out every year!

Brunch features biscuits, gravy, fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, carved ham, carved roast beef, fried chicken, salad station, side accompaniments, an omelet and waffle station, and desserts.

Dogs Tell A Story Too!

Debbie Bryant will present an insightful session about force-free dog training, emphasizing the importance of body language and verbal cues in communicating effectively with your dog. Discover techniques for training and nurturing a strong bond without force. Debbie will also delve into the roles of testing and working with therapy dogs, providing valuable knowledge for pet owners and enthusiasts alike.
