  • Wabash County Museum’s Thursday Parlay

    Wabash Community Event

    Gene Stratton-Porter, from Lagro, Indiana, was a naturalist, photographer, and well-known author who wrote “Freckles”, “A Girl of the Limberlost” and many other novels. Join us for our Thursday Parlay in the Wabash County Museum Porter Room from 10 – 11:30 am on June 1 to hear our featured speaker, historian and first-person interpreter Glory Greiff, while enjoying coffee and treats provided by our sponsor, Bob Evans Restaurant.

    Wabash Run The River

    Wabash Community Event

    Back for the second year, Wabash Run the River starts and ends in Downtown Wabash. Choose run options from a 5K, 10K, or 13.1M half marathon that will take you through downtown onto the scenic Wabash River Trail located along the Wabash River. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top male and female half-marathon, 10K, and 5K finishers.

    The Gershwins in Hollywood – Presented by Charles Troy

    In August 1936, George and Ira Gershwin boarded a plane for Hollywood to write three movie musicals. Little did they know it would be the last year of George’s life. Charles Troy’s unique presentations employ a seamless blend of recorded songs, original graphics, vintage photos, historic video, and an extensively researched and scripted narrative to dramatize the stories behind the great creations of the American Musical Theatre.

    Wabass Live

    Wabash Community Event

    Now in its 16th year, Wabass Institute is a staple of summer music in the Wabash community. Wabass dazzles audiences with the agility each scholar brings to the double bass. Faculty mentors Eric Larson, Ranaan Meyer, and Hal Robinson curate a wonderful evening of musicianship and personality. Concluding the performance, guests are invited to a meet and greet reception to mingle with the artists and faculty mentors.
