    Deana Carter

    Wabash Community Event

Nashville native Deana Carter didn’t take the typical path to stardom, instead making her own mark with the multi-platinum debut album, Did I Shave My Legs For This, featuring her hit song “Strawberry Wine.” With eight albums blending country, retro-rock, and singer-songwriter storytelling, Carter explores life, love, and friendship. Her live shows feature classics like “You and Tequila,” recorded by Kenny Chesney, and “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” showcasing the artistry that has earned GRAMMY nods, CMA recognition, and enduring acclaim.
Rylie Lynn is a singer-songwriter and Nashville recording artist from Huntington, IN. Her debut EP, Beautifully Imperfect, soared up the iTunes charts upon release (New Country Music). Her music can be described as edgy, empowering, raw, soulful, and young country. Lynn has performed at CMA Fest and was invited to join Rodney Atkins on his 2024 tour.

The theme for 2026 is “Windows.” Whether appreciating beautiful architecture, a favorite view, or the metaphorical windows to the soul, artists are encouraged to use this theme to give the audience a peek into their unique world.

    Reception at 5:30pm August 12.

Shoot Your Shot: Artwork Photography for Artists

    Wabash Community Event

Photographing Your Artwork for Submissions and Portfolios

Strong artwork deserves strong documentation. In this hands-on workshop, artists will learn practical techniques for photographing their work clearly and accurately for online competition submissions, portfolios, and personal record keeping.

This workshop will focus on photographing 2D artwork and will cover lighting, camera setup, image clarity, color balance, cropping, and common mistakes that can make artwork look less polished or simply different than it does in person.

Participants should bring the camera they normally use, whether that is a smartphone, digital camera, or tablet. This workshop will focus on unframed 2D pieces. Framed artwork with glass will not be covered in this session.

Artists will leave with a better understanding of how to create clean, accurate images for applications, portfolios, websites, and long-term documentation.
