Join us at the Museum on the first Thursday of March for coffee, donuts, and conversation before this month’s speaker, Sarah Siders-Bitzel shares about the history of the Miami Indians in our area. This event is FREE but we encourage RSVPs at wabashmuseum.org.
Sarah was born and raised in Peru, IN, and is the daughter of G. Rex Siders & Nancy (Hammond) Siders. During her childhood, she attended a myriad of traditional events with
her grandmother, Lora E. (Marks) Siders who served as the Miami Nation of Indians of the State of Indiana (MNI) Tribal Secretary for over40 years, as well as Tribal Historian.
She is a member of the Miami Nation of Indians of the State of Indiana (MNI), serving as Mongosa Clan Grandfather Representative Tribal Council since 2002 and as MNI Tribal Secretary since 2003. She also serves on the MNI Language Committee, MNI Culture Committee, Godfroy Cemetery Committee, Clayton Cemetery Committee, MNI Museum Committee,
MNI Foundation Board, Days at the Pillars Committee, and a founding member of the MNI Women’s Council.Sarah currently resides in Peru with her husband, John, and is employed by the Miami Nation of Indians of the State of Indiana.

Parents’ Night Out is here! Enjoy a concert at the Honeywell Center (Pink Martini), have a date night, or just enjoy a night off! Your child will enjoy games, watch a movie, arts & crafts, and so much more! Child must be potty trained and dinner is provided. Ages 3-5 and 6-12.

Featuring a dozen musicians, Pink Martini performs its multilingual repertoire around the world. As bandleader Thomas Lauderdale describes, “Pink Martini is a rollicking around-the-world musical adventure. If the United Nations had a house band in 1962, hopefully we’d be that band.”

The Winery Dogs are Richie Kotzen, former member of Poison and Mr. Big; Billy Sheehan, known for playing with Steve Vai and David Lee Roth; and Mike Portnoy, original drummer of the bands Dream Theater, Flying Colors, and Adrenaline Mob. The supergroup is influenced by the classic sounds of Led Zeppelin, Cream, and Jimi Hendrix, as well as newer artists such as Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and the Black Crowes.

With more than 300 shows scheduled each year, Mike Almon has been playing guitar and writing music since he was 14. This year he plans to release his first studio-recorded album “Had a Good Run” featuring a mix of his originals, along with two bonus track parodies “Last Fence” and “Detour Land.”

David Brighton and band deliver a stunning note-for-note theatrical concert event, transporting audiences from the legend’s space-age rock idol phase through his years as a mainstream media star.

The Wabash County YMCA is bringing back FREE Euchre for any older adult! Euchre will be held every 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month starting at 10 am. Join us for morning refreshments, cards, door prizes, and conversation. We will teach you how to play! Call the Y to register (260.563.9622) or stop by the Y. No partner needed, and walk-ins welcome! This program is sponsored by Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre.

The annual Wabash County Honors Band & Choir performance features talented high school musicians. The concert provides students who have excelled in their school music programs the opportunity to work and perform with professional guest conductors.

Dakota Ray Parker performs many varieties of music including classic country (Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash), some classic rock (Neil Diamond, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen), Folk music (The Avett Brothers, Bob Dylan, Tom T Hall), Elvis Presley, Adele, Justin Bieber and so much more. He also writes his own music with more than 35 original songs. He won The Voice of Wabash County in 2018 and opened for Aaron Barker at the Eagles Theater.
