Fire Line Productions – Murder on the Orient Express

Fire Line Productions of Wabash features local talent in this production of Murder On the Orient Express. Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning, it is one passenger fewer. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on Detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer – in case the killer decides to strike again.

With more than 300 shows scheduled each year, Mike Almon has been playing guitar and writing music since he was 14. This year he plans to release his first studio-recorded album “Had a Good Run” featuring a mix of his originals, along with two bonus track parodies “Last Fence” and “Detour Land.”

Nelson, an American rock band founded by singer/songwriters Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, achieved success from their 1990s debut album After the Rain, which included “(Can’t Live Without Your) Love and Affection.” The twin brothers are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only family to reach number one record status in three successive generations. With their chart-topping hits like “After the Rain” and “More Than Ever,” the duo captivates audiences with a sound that blends rock attitude, pop hooks, and brotherly harmonies.

The Little Mermen

The Little Mermen is the ultimate Disney tribute concert for Disney fanatics of all ages. The band’s repertoire covers nearly a century of musical canon, including favorites from The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Frozen, and Encanto. The group performs in full costume, with band members dressing up as characters from the films. The Little Mermen invite you to be their guest for a magical experience jam-packed with nostalgic fun and rockin’ sing-alongs!

Abbie Thomas

Fresh off of her 2023 JMA Artist of the Year award at The Grand Ole Opry, Abbie Thomas, is a rising singer songwriter who is gaining international attention and nominations for live performances, lyricism and visual content. Mixing genre-bending arrangements with soulful vocals and hints of Blues, Jazz, and a vibe from the songwriters of the 70’s, she is currently touring regionally; most recently opening for Clint Black, Laine Hardy, and Girl Named Tom. Influenced by artists such as Carole King, Lauryn Hill, John Mayer and Ella Fitzgerald, versatility has her playing throughout Midwest USA in acoustic listening rooms to clubs with her full backing band, recently dubbed ‘The Crazy Hearts’; who were just nominated for a 2023 Hollywood Independent Music Award for Best Live Performance for Thomas’ original, “Try.” You can listen to Thomas’ original music on all major streaming platforms.

Conner Noble

Connor Noble, from Wabash, Indiana, has been playing music for the past 11 years. He has played across Indiana on radio talk shows, and has had original music featured in films, including Night of the Living Dead, The Blood Moon, First Harvest, and more. Noble is currently the lead guitarist for Rejected Iris– having written and produced two albums for the band. His inspiration comes from the music of the 1990s-2000s, spanning a variety of genres from rock to blues, jazz to pop and even punk. Noble brings something that everyone can enjoy.

In this classic musical fantasy, Judy Garland stars as Dorothy Gale, a young Kansas farm girl who dreams of a land “somewhere over the rainbow.” Dorothy’s dream comes true when she, her dog Toto, and her family’s house are transported by a tornado to a bright and magical world unlike anything she has seen before. Unfortunately, she makes a mortal enemy of a wicked witch when the house falls on the hag’s sister. Now, befriended by a scarecrow without a brain, a tin man with no heart and a cowardly lion–and protected by a pair of enchanted ruby slippers–Dorothy sets off along a yellow brick road for the Emerald City to beseech the all-powerful Wizard of Oz for his help to return home. This special 85th anniversary event includes exclusive insight from Leonard Maltin.
