The Gershwins in Hollywood – Presented by Charles Troy
Wabash Community Event
In August 1936, George and Ira Gershwin boarded a plane for Hollywood to write three movie musicals. Little did they know it would be the last year of George’s life. Charles Troy’s unique presentations employ a seamless blend of recorded songs, original graphics, vintage photos, historic video, and an extensively researched and scripted narrative to dramatize the stories behind the great creations of the American Musical Theatre.
