A Year with Frog & Toad

A Honeywell Arts In Education Student Matinee
Based on the beloved children’s books and featuring a jazzy, upbeat score, A Year with Frog & Toad is an enchanting experience. This whimsical musical follows two friends – the cheerful Frog and curmudgeon Toad – through four seasons, meeting new friends along the way. Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way as they celebrate their differences that make them unique and special. Student matinees are held during the school day as field trip opportunities, but are open to the public as well. Shows at 10am and 12pm.

The Barricade Boys are taking the world by storm with their electrifying show that will have you belting out your favorite tunes and grinning from ear to ear. From the heart-wrenching emotion of Les Misérables to the toe-tapping harmonies of the Jersey Boys and a mix of the greatest pop, rock, swing, and Motown hits of all time, The Barricade Boys create the ultimate Broadway Party musical mashup. The performers will also share hilarious and inspiring stories from their time on stage.

History of the Iconic St. Elmo Steak House

How is a famous Indiana steak house known for shrimp cocktail? Chris Ratay, Honeywell Vice President of Hospitality and former General Manager of St. Elmo, will take guests through the history, beginning in 1902 through his personal journey which included managing the restaurant during the 2012 NFL Super Bowl in Indianapolis. The evening will include, of course, “the” sinus-clearing experience! $10 includes a two-piece shrimp cocktail.

Youth Arts Month: Banjo-Pig-A-Palooza!

Create your very own musical pig! Illustrator and children’s book author Bryan Ballinger (VeggieTales) will guide participants through a playful and creative process, teaching tips and techniques to bring your whimsical character to life. Class at 9 am or 11 am. Registration encouraged.

Youth Arts Month: Songwriting Made Simple – Craft Your Next Hit

Discover the art of songwriting with NYC singer-songwriters and Honeywell Arts Academy alumni Sofie Zamchick and Michael Shofi. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced musician, this workshop will guide you through the process of creating a song – from crafting lyrics to building melodies and grooves. Bring an instrument if you have one, or just bring yourself and your curiosity! Sofie and Michael, who recently released their debut single “Kids Again,” will share their expertise and help you unlock your creativity. Open to all levels – come write your next hit!

A Honeywell Arts In Education Student Matinee
Shaun Boothe celebrates diversity and encourages empathy and humanity while honoring the greatest cultural icons of our times including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Barack Obama, Malala Yousafzai, and Muhammad Ali. Shaun uses biographical rap songs to celebrate and examine the lives of these most influential human rights and social justice activists. Shaun’s message is shared using one of the most powerful tools we have to bring people together during such challenging times – MUSIC! Student matinees are held during the school day as field trip opportunities, but are open to the public as well. Shows at 10am and 12pm.

Beginner Photography Bootcamp

Explore photography fundamentals in an 8-week journey covering exposure, composition, light, color, storytelling, and post-processing. Engage in hands-on challenges, creative experiments, and critiques to enhance your skills and curate a stunning portfolio showcasing your growth. Class is every Monday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

Join our fun-filled art class, where young artists get to explore techniques like drawing, painting, printing, and sculpting. Each session is packed with creativity and thoughtful professional instruction. Classes will take place every Tuesday from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Led by a professional artist and instructor, young artists will explore projects combining materials and techniques such as printmaking, collage, chalk pastel, graphite pencil, and colored pencil. Class is every Tuesday from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm.

Youth Arts Month: Mini-Mosaic Masterpiece

Wabash Community Event

In this hands-on activity, participants will start with a small wooden frame and create their own mosaic design using colorful glass and tile pieces. Choose your favorite arrangement, and then we’ll use heat to bond the pieces together. Once the adhesive is melted, you’ll have your very own framed mosaic art to take home! Classes at 9am and 11am. Registration required.
