With eight platinum-recorded comedy albums on major labels and three more on his own label, Laughter’s Good Records, Rodney’s comedic genius knows no bounds. His latest album, Get Em Out, soared to #1 on iTunes, while Here Comes the Truth reached #3 on the comedy charts and became a massive hit on Spotify and Netflix. Dakota Parker

Dakota Ray Parker performs many varieties of music including classic country (Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash), some classic rock (Neil Diamond, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen), Folk music (The Avett Brothers, Bob Dylan, Tom T Hall), Elvis Presley, Adele, Justin Bieber and so much more. He also writes his own music with more than 35 original songs. He won The Voice of Wabash County in 2018 and opened for Aaron Barker at the Eagles Theater.

Gene Stratton Porter

Shaun Payne is the Site Director of Limberlost State Historic Site. He will talk about the life and legacy of Gene Stratton Porter, with an emphasis on her time growing up in Wabash County, from her childhood in Lagro to a young adult in Wabash, ultimately ending up in Los Angeles. Learn about her written works, award winning photographs, impact on the environment, and her movie career in Hollywood.

Lunch & Learn – Hanging Twig Holiday Tree

Pack a lunch and join us on select Wednesdays for fun and free presentations and workshops in the Education and Resource Center.

Combining foraged plant materials and traditional holiday decorations to create a hanging twig holiday tree! The best part? Switch out decorations and enjoy your creative handiwork all year long. $10 per person. Spots are limited so buy early!

A complimentary component to school art classes, exhibits and contests featuring original student artwork are held throughout the school year. Exhibits are held in the Honeywell Center’s Clark Gallery and on-site in schools, and include celebration receptions for students and families.

Get ready for an evening of non-stop laughter as Bored Teachers, the world’s largest entertainment platform for educators, brings together the wittiest teacher-comedians worldwide to a single stage. The Bored Teachers Comedy Tour features renowned teacher comedians Devin Siebold, KC Mack, Tell Williams, and Andrea Caspari with skits that have amassed hundreds of millions of views. They are joining forces for an unforgettable evening. It’s time to set aside those lesson plans, trade in your grading pen for a night, and burn off the stress of the school year. All ages are welcome, but please note that some PG-13 language will be used during the performance.

Mike Almon

With more than 300 shows scheduled each year, Mike Almon has been playing guitar and writing music since he was 14. This year he plans to release his first studio-recorded album “Had a Good Run” featuring a mix of his originals, along with two bonus track parodies “Last Fence” and “Detour Land.”
