Bill Barrows, former Director of Sports for the Wabash County YMCA and Field of Dreams, has been researching local sports history to help the Museum curate a future sports exhibit. With his accumulated athletic knowlegde, he will be presenting some Wabash County sports history. For additional context, Bill is also the voice of the Apaches football and basketball games. “The Thursday Parlay” will take place from 10 to 11:30 am on Thursday, April 4th. Storyteller Carol Gebert will present the epic tale of a Canadian woman who dressed as a man to fight for Lincoln’s army during the Civil War. The story performed is based on Emma’s book and other Civil War stories to create a solid tale of what a soldier’s life was like while hiding her gender.

Featuring works from all Wabash County Schools and Peru High School students.

Create a beautiful piece of art using stained glass techniques. You’ll learn how to score, break, and shape colorful pieces of glass to create a beautiful decorative item. All students will make the same design. A variety of color options will be available. Ages 13+

Experience the oldest method of stained glass construction as you create a moderate sized hanging panel. Review glass cutting and shaping basics and learn the lead cane construction method to build a beautiful stained glass panel. Several patterns will be provided as well as many attractive glass colors. Finished piece will be between 10×10 and 11×14 depending on the pattern chosen. Previous experience is required. Ages 18+
