Wabash Community Event

When Farmer Brown’s granddaughter Jenny comes to visit, Farmer Brown declares the farm a tech-free zone. He takes her laptop in the cold barn with the cows who type messages requesting blankets! When Farmer Brown refuses, the cows go on strike and the chickens join them. Will he give into the demands? Find out in this hilariously moving musical about negotiation and compromise. Based on the Caldecott Honor Book by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin. Student matinees are held during the school day as field trip opportunities, but are open to the public as well.

The Victory Vertical Project

Wabash Community Event

The Victory Vertical Project uses descriptive vignettes accompanied by piano music in many styles – classical, popular, boogie-woogie, jazz, and movie soundtracks – to bring to life a remarkable account of courage, solidarity, and the power of music. Garik Pedersen, a Steinway artist, performs music by a varied and extensive list of composers to provide fascinating, beautiful, and moving glimpses into the war that, more than any other, united us as a people with a common purpose. The Victory Vertical Project celebrates the power of music to lift morale, bring people together, provide physical and mental healing, and instill a profound sense of purpose.

The Karens

Wabash Community Event

At a time when we occasionally cross paths with insolent “Karens,” it’s nice to know that some good Karens exist. Comedians Karen Mills and Karen Morgan join together to bring you an evening of comedy filled with lots of laughter and zero toxic behavior. Unlike the other “Karens” in the news, these Karens are funny (not fractious), intelligent (not ignorant), and affable (not angry). They bring a different and hilarious point of view to this clever and clean comedy show.
