As our gardens are hard at work, we will take a fascinating and in-depth look at earthworms. This program is based on the book The Earth Moved by Amy Stewart. Join us for a “subterranean adventure to seek out our planet’s most important gatekeeper: the humble earthworm.” Free admission. Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended.

Andie (Molly Ringwald) is an outcast at her Chicago high school, hanging out either with her older boss (Annie Potts), who owns the record store where she works, or her quirky classmate Duckie (Jon Cryer), who has a crush on her. When one of the rich and popular kids at school, Blane (Andrew McCarthy), asks Andie out, it seems too good to be true. As Andie starts falling for Blane, she begins to realizes that dating someone from a different social sphere is not easy.

But when she gets swept away to a strange new land, she learns how to celebrate her unique rhythm and embrace her cultural identity. This performance is easy to follow for both those fluent in (or learning) Spanish, and those who are not. Student matinees are held during the school day as field trip opportunities, but are open to the public as well.
