June 2, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Wabash Cultural District is celebrating its 2-year anniversary since the 2021 designation from the Indiana Arts Commission! Join us for a night of immersive art experiences, a celebrity guest appearance, community-focused fun and plenty to do around every corner on June’s First Friday in Downtown Wabash, Indiana.
The Wabash Cultural District is a 2.5 mile perimeter of walkable terrain. The boundaries are Hill Street along the influential railway tracks on the north, Carroll Street on the west, Paradise Spring Park on the east and the Wabash River on the south. A unique characteristic is our hilly topography. Standing at the District’s entrance, you can see the entire District unfolding before your eyes.
Wabash First Fridays in 2023 are presented by MetalX. Additional support for Wabash First Fridays come from Top Level Sponsors: Pettit Printing and Crossroads Bank; and Mid Level Sponsor: 95.9 KISS FM.

More First Friday fun will include Paint the Plow on Miami Street, an annual hands-on art experience for the whole family presented by the City of Wabash Street Department. And, in honor of the Wabash Cultural District and the third year of Honeywell Arts Academy at Eagles Theatre, Honeywell Arts & Entertainment is inviting you to take advantage of “Be Our Guest,” a complimentary ticket opportunity to enjoy three, world-class performances by Honeywell Arts Academy scholars in June.
Meet Zachariah Smith
As part of the Wabash Cultural District Celebration, Zachariah Smith, one of the top five contestants from American Idol’s latest season, will host a meet and greet on Miami Street! Plan to meet Zach with a chance for free photos, $1 autographs, entry to win tickets to his concert on June 3 at the Honeywell Center and merchandise available for purchase.

“I’m so excited about coming back to not only Wabash, but the surrounding areas. I can’t wait to see everyone before the big concert on Saturday and I also can’t wait to be a part of this big tradition that we hold in our community!”
