Bring the family to Downtown Wabash, Indiana for the ‘greatest spectacle in candy’ on Miami Street, presented by Downtown Wabash, Inc. & Wabash Trucking.

Returning for its 5th year, Wabash Trucking will bring one of its roll-off trucks to dump the candy for costumed trick-or-treaters. Candy will cascade to Miami St. promptly at 5 p.m. and trick-or-treaters can collect their candy until 7 p.m.

BE ON THE LOOKOUT for one of FIVE Gebhart Golden Tickets inside candy bars included in the truckload of candy with “spooktacularly sweet” prize packages!

Parking at the Wabash County YMCA or the Wabash County Museum is recommended. Free shuttle services will be provided by Trolley No. 85.

In the case of rain or inclement weather, Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza will be held on Sunday, Oct. 29 from 2-4 p.m. in Downtown Wabash, Indiana.

The City of Wabash’s trick-or-treat hours are to be determined.

The Downtown Wabash Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza is presented by Downtown Wabash, Inc. and Wabash Trucking. Additional sponsorship comes from Top Level Sponsor Bachelor Creek.

The Downtown Wabash Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza is made possible by Downtown Wabash, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to a downtown district that is vibrant every day and night.

Costume Contest

Arrive to the candy dump in costume and enter the Bachelor Creek Church Costume Contest at 6 p.m.! This outdoor event will take place at Oswalt-Thomas Sales & Service (160 W. Canal St.) Guests are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to secure spots in the contest. The contest will be judged by several categories. One prize will be awarded per category. Categories include: Birth-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, Teen/Adult, Group/Family, Homemade and Spookiest.

More than 15 small businesses in Downtown Wabash will also pass out candy to trick-or-treaters. Participating businesses are: 2 W. Market St, Birdie J’s, Bluebird Boutique, Downtown Nutrition, JoJo’s Olfactory & Co., Lily’s-N-Things, Living Well Downtown, Modoc’s Market, Moose Lodge, Our House Real Estate, Pizza King, Rock City Lofts, The Access Youth Center and Thriftalicious. (Candy at each participating business is generously provided by Bachelor Creek Church.)

More family fun!

Each year, our community partners join us in Downtown Wabash, Indiana for a night of sweet, wholesome family fun! Expect to see activities like a bounce house, food trucks, first responder vehicles, photo ops, life-size elephant sculpture, a variety of community vendors and a whole lot more! Activities will be located near Lighthouse Mission at 123 W. Canal St.

Pay attention to your surroundings

It’s safe to say that over the years, the Downtown Wabash Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza has grown… So much so, that we’re prioritizing safety for those in attendance. Please pay attention to your surroundings as you and your family are waiting in line for the LITERAL TRUCK LOAD of candy. EMA crew members will be stationed throughout the district ensuring safe vehicular traffic flow.
