Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to Miami Street… THE DOWNTOWN THROWDOWN, presented by the Apache Wrestling Club! This event, formerly known as Thrash in the Bash, is a fan-favorite community spectacle. Gather on Miami Street for a friendship format, folk-style wrestling tournament open to all age brackets. The event will also feature numerous shopping & dining specials, the return of Food Truck Plaza, Miami Street community vendor booths and so much more!

Wabash First Fridays in 2024 are presented by MetalX and Bowen Health Clinic. Additional support for Wabash First Fridays come from Event Partners: Indiana Plain Dealer, Pettit Printing, Wabash Furniture and Flooring, 95.9 KISS FM, Wabash Domino’s and Dynamic Designs by Dyson.

Downtown Throwdown

Get ready to witness a thrilling display of youth-aged, friendship-format, folk-style wrestling, brought to you by the Apache Wrestling Club! The wrestling tournament is open to ages 6 & up. On-site registration and weigh-ins will run from 4:30-5:30 p.m., with the tournament starting promptly at 6:00 p.m. The entry fee is $10. Any tournament-related questions can be directed to organizer, Matt Zickafoose, at zickafoosem@apaches.k12.in.us. 

Food Truck Plaza

During August’s First Friday, Food Truck Plaza will feature several food trucks for visitors to effortlessly access a diverse array of food offerings amidst a lively outdoor atmosphere. Stay tuned to find out which of your favorite food trucks will be located at Food Truck Plaza! Additional Support for Food Truck Plaza comes from Visit Wabash County and the Wabash Parks Department.

From American-made clothing and local artist wares to handcrafted jewelry and up-cycled clothing, there’s something for everyone in Downtown Wabash, Indiana! Take to the 2.5-mile district for a night of shopping and supporting all things local. Explore downtown businesses and shop local during First Friday!

Get ready for one of the biggest weekends in Downtown Wabash! Save the date for Summer Sidewalk Sales on Friday & Saturday, August 16 & 17! Support your favorite downtown businesses and get great deals while you shop! Summer Sidewalk Sales offer a weekend-long spree in conjunction with the 25th Annual Dave Kunkel Cruise-In at the Honeywell Center and the Downtown Wabash Farmers Market at Paradise Spring Park.
