We’ve launched our new brand and it’s time we introduced ourselves to our new and returning readers. Thanks for joining us on The Downtown Buzz blog, full of interesting stories, event highlights and all things Downtown Wabash. We’re happy you’re here! So… without further ado, meet our team.
Meet Andrea Zwiebel, Executive Director of Downtown Wabash, Inc.
Andrea brings a decade of nonprofit management experience to the organization. She spent three years on the Downtown Wabash, Inc. board of directors prior to joining the staff as an employee.
Andrea balances the day-to-day needs of a nonprofit organization, such as fund development and fiscal management, along with strategic growth. Her favorite aspect of the job is working closely with the network of Main Street organizations across the state and nation.

Favorite part about Downtown Wabash: The twinkling lights on the marquee at Eagles Theatre. It’s magical!
Favorite memory in Downtown Wabash: This sounds cheesy, but I love watching other people make memories in downtown. Wedding photo sessions are my favorite!
Favorite event in Downtown Wabash: I get really into our staff Halloween costumes, so I would have to say the Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza!
Favorite season in Downtown Wabash: Fall! Crisp fall mornings with a hot coffee from Modoc’s and warm fall afternoons for tea bombs at Downtown Nutrition.
Meet Morgan Ellis, PR & Marketing Manager of Downtown Wabash, Inc.
Morgan is the magician behind the computer (or phone) screen! She coordinates the details for more than 50 events per year including storytelling, social media strategy, content management and public relations.
Morgan’s expertise is in small business marketing, nonprofit marketing and public relations. You will often find her meeting with business owners to strategize new ideas, which is one of her favorite day-to-day tasks in Downtown.

Favorite part about Downtown Wabash: The hustle and bustle in the daytime and the serene quiet at nighttime.
Favorite memory in Downtown Wabash: Moving here! I live, work and play all in Downtown Wabash!
Favorite event in Downtown Wabash: Definitely the Farmers Market. There’s something so wholesome about our hometown Farmers Market.
Favorite season in Downtown Wabash: Summertime! I’m not a huge summer fan but summertime in Downtown is sweet and vibrant!
Meet Carly Hawkins, Downtown Coordinator of Downtown Wabash, Inc.
Carly is our intern-turned-employee with nearly two years of experience working for Downtown Wabash, Inc. She focuses her efforts on making our Farmers Market the freshest place to be on Saturday mornings during the Farmers Market season. (No pun intended!)
Carly also works alongside Morgan in marketing efforts while flexing her passion for our downtown merchants.

Favorite part about Downtown Wabash: The unique historical story each building shows. All the buildings in downtown preserve the history behind them and continue to serve as purpose today
Favorite memory in Downtown Wabash: I have grown up in Wabash and some of my favorite memories in Downtown have come from my days as a cheerleader in high school; walking in a parade around Downtown. I loved seeing people of all ages excited to watch the parade and catch the flying candy. I may not be in the parades these days, but it’s still one of my favorite things to watch. (& who doesn’t love free candy?! 😉)
Favorite event in Downtown Wabash: Christmas is so magical in Downtown Wabash. I feel like I’m in a Hallmark movie! My favorite event is Jingle Jubilee, by far.
Favorite season in Downtown Wabash: I love seeing tons of people out and about enjoying the warmer months in Downtown, so I would have to say summer!
